Discover The Fox Hole’s Explore Gin Experience

Let’s start with my personal favourite (and I may be a bit biased, but more the more then 45,000 people who have enjoyed our experience vastly agree!) – the Gin Experience at The Fox Hole. This isn’t just a run-of-the-mill tasting. It’s a guided exploration into the fascinating world of gin. We take you through different styles of gin from around the world, from classic London Dry to more contemporary botanical gins. You’ll get to taste and learn all about what makes each gin unique. It’s the perfect night out whether you’re new to gin or an aficionado looking to broaden your horizons.

Manly Spirits Gin Making Class

Feeling creative? Then you’ll want to check out the Gin Making Class at Manly Spirits. Just a short ferry ride from Circular Quay, this class lets you roll up your sleeves and create your own bespoke gin. With the guidance of their expert distillers, you’ll learn about botanicals, the distillation process, and walk away with your very own bottle of custom-made gin. It’s a fun and hands-on way to dive deeper into the world of gin – and a great excuse to head to Manly for the day!

Archie Rose Distillery Tour & Tasting

No gin lover’s journey through Sydney would be complete without a visit to Archie Rose. These legends in Rosebery are one of the first gin distillers in Sydney and Australia. Their distillery tour is a great – taking you behind the scenes to see how they create their award-winning gins. And the best part? The tour ends with a guided tasting where you can sample their signature spirits. It’s a must-do!

44 North at Bondi Liquor Co

Now, if you’re ever out at Bondi and looking for a spot to unwind, I can’t recommend 44 North at Bondi Liquor Co enough. This place has a great vibe – laid-back but stylish, and their gin namesake is excellent. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a gin and tonic after a day by the beach. As an extra piece of trivia, Bondi Liquor Co – the distillery attached to 44 North – supply our house gin at The Fox Hole. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Poor Toms Gin Hall

If you’re after something a bit more low-key but still top-notch, head over to Marrickville and check out Poor Toms Gin Hall. These guys have created a fun, relaxed space where you can enjoy their signature Poor Toms gin and cocktails. The vibe is easy-going and the drinks are spot-on – perfect for an afternoon catch-up with mates or a casual evening out. Plus, Marrickville has this cool, quirky feel that makes it a great spot to explore.

Sydney Gin Festival

Mark your calendars – Sydney Gin Festival 2024 is shaping up to be a real treat. This is the place to be if you want to taste a wide range of Australian gins. It’s a great chance to meet some of the distillers and try new gins. Whether you’re there to discover new favourites or just enjoy a day out with friends, this festival is a must for any gin lover. They’ve recently relocated their festival to Rosehill near Parramatta – but it’s a day trip worth making in our experience.

Distillery Botanica

Speaking of day trips… Head up to the Central Coast and visit Distillery Botanica. This beautiful distillery is nestled in lush gardens, and they produce tasty tasty gin using botanicals grown on-site. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot that feels like a little slice of paradise – and the gin’s not bad either! It’s a lovely day out if you want to combine nature with a great gin tasting experience.

Four Pillars Laboratory, Surry Hills

Last but certainly not least, we have Four Pillars Laboratory in Surry Hills. If you’ve heard of Four Pillars (and if you’re into gin, you probably have!), you’ll know they’re one of Australia’s best-known gin brands – from Victoria. Their Sydney outpost offers tastings, gin blending classes, and drinks at the bar. It’s a great spot to get a deeper understanding of what makes their gins so special.
